2025 Science + Literature

Joshua Sariñana served on the 2024-2025 Science + Literature Selection Committee for the National Book Foundation. This program celebrates exceptional books in fiction, nonfiction, and poetry that bridge science and technology with literature, emphasizing diversity in authorship and subject matter. Sariñana worked with a panel of distinguished scientists, writers, and journalists to review and select three books that inspire public engagement with science. The initiative, supported by the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation, aims to deepen understanding of science through accessible and engaging storytelling. Selected authors receive a $10,000 prize and participate in public programming to amplify their impact.
